1.Agreement

These terms apply to the website al-muammal.org, its book shop, the Mu’ammal Magazine and the Mu’ammal mobile app, all run by Al-Mu’ammal Cultural Foundation, Lucknow. By using them, creating an account or placing an order you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2.Your account

Please give accurate information and keep your password private; you are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or close an account that is used to break these terms or the law. You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time.

3.Orders and prices

Prices are in Indian rupees (₹) and shown at checkout together with any shipping charge, discount or cash-on-delivery fee. An order is accepted when we confirm it. If an item is unavailable or a price was shown in error we may cancel the order and refund any amount paid in full.

4.Payment

You can pay online through Cashfree (UPI, cards, net banking, wallets), by cash on delivery where offered, or by bank transfer. Online payments are subject to Cashfree’s own terms.

5.Shipping and delivery

We deliver within India. Orders are usually dispatched within 2–3 working days and delivered within 4–7 days, but delivery times are estimates and may vary with the courier or postal service and your location. Please make sure your address and phone number are correct.

6.Cancellations, returns and refunds

• You can cancel an order free of charge before it has been dispatched.
• If a book or magazine arrives damaged or you received the wrong item, tell us within 7 days of delivery (with a photo if possible) and we will send a replacement or refund you.
• Approved refunds are made to the original payment method within 7–10 working days; cash-on-delivery orders are refunded by bank transfer or UPI.
• Digital items (e-magazine subscriptions and single digital issues) cannot be refunded once access has been given, except where a payment was taken in error.

7.Magazine subscriptions

A print subscription covers the number of issues you chose, posted to your address by the method you selected (General or Registered Post). A digital subscription gives access to premium issues in the app for the subscription period; a single digital issue stays available in your account. Subscriptions do not renew automatically.

8.Donations

Donations are voluntary and are used for the foundation’s religious, educational and charitable work. Please check the account details before you transfer; donations cannot normally be refunded, except where a payment was made in error.

9.Religious content

Duas, ziyarat, Qur’an text and translations, articles and quizzes are provided in good faith for devotional and educational use, with their sources credited. - Prayer times are calculated for your location using the Shia Ithna Ashari (Jafari) method and may differ by a few minutes from local announcements; please follow your local mosque or Marja’ where they differ. - Answers in the Q&A section are general guidance and do not replace a ruling from your Marja’ or a qualified scholar.

10.Content and copyright

The text, design, books, magazine issues and other material on the website and in the app belong to Al-Mu’ammal Cultural Foundation or to their credited owners. You may use them for personal, non-commercial purposes. Please do not copy, sell or redistribute them — including magazine PDFs — without our written permission.

11.Acceptable use

Please do not misuse the website or app: no attempts to break in, overload or disrupt them, no automated scraping, and nothing unlawful, abusive or offensive in messages or questions you send. We may remove such content.

12.Other websites and services

Our pages link to or use services we do not control, such as Cashfree, YouTube, WhatsApp and Google Maps. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

13.Liability

We take care to keep our services accurate and available, but they are provided “as is” and may occasionally be interrupted or contain errors. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not responsible for indirect losses.

14.Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.

15.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the courts at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
